Two New slots, One new program and Four movie premiers
Zee Talkies, the only Marathi movie channels known for its healthy mix of titles with new blockbusters like Natarang, Harishchandrachi Factory, Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy along with cult classics like Pinjara, Agabai Arechha, Bindhast and Ashi hi Banvabanvi. Also Zee Talkies offers its viewers variety of films and events with its various brands like Talkies Tharaar, Talkies Premier, Talkies Jallosh, Malamal Monday & Superstaar Shanivaar. Now Zee Talkies is bringing two new brands – Talkies Gaurav & Guru Mahima.
‘Talkies Gaurav’ will showcase selective popular award winning films which has got acclaim on national as well as on international levels. The Slot will start with Oscar nominated path breaking film “Shwaas” and films like Harishchandrachi Factory, Pinjara, Tigya and Astitva will proceed. Time slot for Talkies Gaurav is every Saturday @ 9.30 pm. Another slot ‘Guru Mahima’ will showcase popular religious films such as Tochi Ek Samartha and Saidarshan; every Thursday morning @ 8.00 am.
Zee Talkies will premier total four blockbuster titles in the month of October in Talkies Premier. The film which will be premiering are Ashwini Bhave starrer-Kadachit (2nd October); Director Umesh Kulkarni’s Vihir (16th October); Sandip Kulkarni, Amruta Khanvilkar starrer, Director Satish Rajwade’s suspense thriller-Gair (23rd October) and Sachin Khedekar starrer emotional family drama-Taryanche Bet (30th October).
This is not all. Zee Talkies is bringing a brand new game show with a unique concept – FULL TO FILMY. Specially designed for film lovers; this show will be played within the filmy family where each member would play a role and perform a skit. The game will be played with a new family every week. The basic Objective of FULL TOO FLIMY is to Give a window to the common people to showcase their talent and passion for cinema along with providing entertainment to the viewer and the entire family. “Full to filmy” will be hosted by popular young actor Abhijit Khandkekar & show will be aired from 16th October, every Sunday @ 11.30 am after Cinema Cinema.

Zee Talkies celebrates Meet n Greet with Sachin-Supriya

Sachin & Supriya Pilgaonkar is a couple which is extremely popular in the world of Marathi and Hindi entertainment. Sachin Pilgaonkar, considered as an all rounder in the world of Film & Television, he started his career as a child artist in ‘Ha Maza Marg Ekla’ (1962) & from last four decades he is entertaining us as an actor, producer, director, singer and dancer. With many credible Hindi-Marathi TV serials and films under his banner, Sachin has done some remarkable work in every role he played.
On the other hand, Supriya Pilagonkar, considered one of the finest actress in the world of hindi and Marathi entertainment; she has performed some unforgettable performances as an actor.
Zee Talkies, the only Marathi movie channel, celebrated the entire week on the occasion of Sachin & Supriya’s birthday with ‘Sachin-Supriya Dhamaka’. Zee Talkies is celebrating the Ajay – Atul Dhamaka with some of the selective movie titles with Ajay-Atul music. The fest will start with highly acclaimed movie, Natarang on 8th August @ 6.30 pm in Malamaal Monday. Melodious music of Natarang has got tremendous appreciation globally. Followed by another memorable title Agabai Arechha with unforgettable music tracks, which will be aired on 9th August staring Sanjay Narvekar in lead; Ek Daav Dhobipachhad-directed by Satish Rajwade & Staring Ashok Saraf on (10th August); Sawarkhed Ek Gaon (11th August); Saade Maade Teen (12th August). The festival will be concluded by Kedar shinde’s film Jatra staring Bharat Jadhav in lead role. Mee Sindhutai Sapkal, a Marathi bio-pic inspired by the true story of renowned social activist Sindhutai Sapkal, will have its world television premiere on Zee Marathi on Sunday, 24th July @ 7.00 pm. Directed by well known bollywood director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, the film is a truly inspirational journey of a survival of Sindhutai Sapkal who grew up in extreme conditions & survived through an unimaginable pain throughout her life and became a social activist after a traumatic life.

She was brought up in abject poverty. Got married at the age of 9. Her husband abandoned her at the age of 20, and she left home with her infant daughter. She later donated her biological child to the trust Shrimant Dagdu sheth halwai, Pune, only to eliminate the feeling of partiality between her daughter and the adopted ones. As of 1998 Sindhutai Sapkal has nurtured about 1042 orphaned children. Many of the children that she adopted are well educated lawyers and doctors, and some including her biological daughter are running their independent orphanages.

“Mee Sindhutai Sapkal” has got huge critical acclaim throughout the world & has won many prestigious awards nationally & internationally. The film successfully portrays the struggle and actual events of Sindhutaai’s life on screen. Tejaswini Pandit, the lead actress of the film got highly positive response for her remarkable performance as Sindhutai Sapkal. The film has bagged the national awards for best adapted screenplay and best dialogues. Sindhutai's story is almost an allegorical tale which mirrors the fate of millions of exploited women; worldwide. Along with Tejaswini Pandit; Jyoti Chandekar, Upendra Limaye, Neena Kulkarni, Suhas Palshikar, Charushila Sable, Jayawant Wadkar are playing important parts in the film. The film is directed by well known actor – director Ananth Mahadevan.
